Chapter 7: Part 3

Even Emilia is disappointed that she gave up on finding her good qualities so easily, but what can anyone expect when someone is no good.

Try. Teddy encourages Emilia.

“I guess I like my imagination.” Emilia remembers helping the other beasts after the attack, “I like helping others. I like my adventurous spirit. I like patience. I like being modest, private, easygoing.” Emilia bounces on all fours with a passionate smile, “I like my curiosity and being a girl. I like being me.”

Glittering purple mist emits around Emilia’s feet rising swallowing her whole. Emilia feels her arms and legs stretching as her stomach flattens. Her snouts pulls itself in. Her blood wars as the movement in her body is gentle and painless.

Once the mist clears, Emilia sits on the ground barefoot in her purple dress with tears on her cheeks. She looks at her hands closely examining each of her fingers. Dimples indent her cheeks next her full puffy lips forming a smile.

Emilia slowly reaches out to Teddy extending her pointer finger to Teddy’s paw. She feels the furry plush fabric against her skin. Joy erupts within her, and her eyes glitter like stars as her full lips smile widely. She hugs Teddy, jumps up, then spins Teddy around.

“I’m human again. You saved me.” Emilia squeezes Teddy tighter, “Thank you.” She nuzzles Teddy’s neck with her nose. She places Teddy on the ground.

“I know how to help.” Emilia jumps up and runs towards the kingdom leaving Teddy behind wishing her luck.

Emilia has to get to the kingdom before the sun rises before the beasts attack. Her bare feet pound against the ground below her. The sky is a lighter blue than the night sky. The sun will be rising soon, so the beasts will attack soon too.

Goddesses, please guide me. Help me to save the beasts. Thank you for turning me human again. Do so for the others please. Please stop this attack on the city.
